Dye sublimation printing techniques use the CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) structure of color printing. These printers use unique page-sized rolls of plastic film that is sensitive to heat, entrenched with each color of ink and a print head embracing numerous heating elements.
The dye sublimation printing method requires two steps.
First, the custom graphics are digitally printed on a transfer paper as a mirror image of the original.
Second, the transfer paper is then placed into a heat press which sublimates the print, meaning the graphics transfer from a gas to a solid without passing through a liquid stage, onto a polyester fabric or polymer material which results in spectacular superior quality printed image.
Some of the prominent benefits of dye-sublimation printing are:
> Colors on the fabric appear outstanding. > Printed images are enduring and do not fade with time.> Dye does not build up on fabric.> Dye sublimation process creates vibrant pictures. > More resistance to being worn or torn out.
There are two aspects that add to the excellence of dye sublimation printers. The first is incessant tone, and the other is un-dithered color. Dye sublimation printers are on rise due to their exceptional quality of clear, sharp print images that can be formed through the printer.
