Benefits of SEG versus Traditional Signage

Posted by m1 blogger on 10/19/2016 to Printing Knowledge

SEG is Silicone Edged Graphic frame.
In SEG, the fabric graphic has a thin silicone strip or gasket sewn around the edges. The silicone finished edges are then inserted into the groove around the perimeter of the framing system to give a swanky and seamless appearance.
Silicone is majorly used for the SEG, but polyester is also an option for SEG frames, and is cheaper by at least 50% compared to the silicone.

PVC versus Silicone used in Flat Profile Frames

Posted by m1 blogger on 6/21/2016 to Printing Knowledge

Among the most used finishing accessories in our industry are the PVC and Silicone used in Flat Profile Frames. Through this post, we will try to explain the purpose of each product and why Media One should be your first source for all your finishing needs.

Flat Profile gasket (aka: Keder) is used for soft signage applications, backlit and front-lit frames in virtually any size. Your frame cost is a single expense and can be shipped in a tube, and the graphic print can be folded and shipped compactly for shipping cost savings. Along with new crease free fabrics and finished prints, virtually anyone can install in frames, and graphic change outs are quick and easy. Repeat business is almost a given.
